Juggling

Been writing.  Finally finished the 760,000 word Tales of Arcadia fix-it fic that I have literally been working on for just over five years!

Been sewing.  I made Wonderful Husband another pair of pajama pants and a couple pieces for my dolls (a blouse, and a dress for Blaire which I think needs a different blouse to go under it).

Been skating.  Have finally gotten the hang of backwards crossovers!  Well, in one direction.  The other, my kneebends aren't quite deep enough to do it going around a circle, but I can do it going in a straight line.  Something to work on.

Been cooking.  Our apples are coming ripe, so I've made spiced apple butter, a bit of applesauce, and we've pressed enough apples for almost two gallons of cider.  And I still have a sinkful of apples, plus a ton more on the trees.  I must have done something right on the tree nearer the house, since despite it regularly alternating good and poor years, this year (a bad year) has a decent crop.  Of course, the one farther from the house has lots of small apples this year, despite the fact that I thinned every apple cluster I could reach!

Been crafting, kind of.  I've made two Halloween themed Japanese rice bags for a bazaar my evening quilt guild will be participating in later this month, and pulled fabric and batting scraps for a few more.  I also repainted the particle board bookcase my grandparents gave me when I was in high school, and it's now in Squiddle's room, starting to hold some of his stuff.  It is blue.  It is so very painter's tape blue.  But that's the color he chose.

Trying to get my life and household under control, which is difficult because I am a mess going in a thousand different directions at once.
